- Move vehicles, trailers, trash cans, equipment, and other obstacles out of the delivery path.
- Unlock gates and check for low branches, wires, or other overhead obstructions.
- Contact us before delivery if your placement instructions or site access change.
What Can Go In Your Dumpster?
Review these guidelines before loading. Keeping restricted materials out of the dumpster helps prevent pickup delays, disposal fines, and additional charges.
Accepted Items

- Household junk (furniture, mattresses, clothing)
- Yard waste (grass, leaves, small branches)
- Construction debris (wood, drywall, tile, flooring)
- Roofing materials (shingles)
- Remodeling waste (cabinets, countertops)
- Non-Freon appliances (washers, dryers, stoves)
- Cardboard and packaging materials
Items NOT Accepted
Disposing of prohibited items will be subject to additional fees.
- Hazardous waste such as fuel, oil, aerosol cans, oil-based paint, chemicals, and cleaners
- Animal or human excrement
- Tanks, including fuel, propane, oil, or oxygen tanks
- Sealed drums or drums that have ever contained hazardous waste
- Latex paint, railroad ties, fluorescent lights, or tires
Not sure about an item? Contact Dutton's Dumpsters before placing it in the container. Keep all debris below the top rail, and never place prohibited materials in or around the dumpster.
